The National Gallery of Victoria acquire the 'Song of the Chanter' for Permanent Collection

My work has recently been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia for their permanent collection of art. The Song of the Chanter neckpiece and bracelet impressed NGV curator Simone Le Amon at the Mari Funaki award exhibition where it was exhibited at Gallery Funaki in 2016. Le Amon, who is the current Hugh Williamson Curator of Contemporary Art and Architecture at the NGV, connected with my work the moment she saw it and was impressed with the works 'forward thinking' and 'beautifully resolved relationship with the body'. I am honoured that my work is now in the permanent collection of such a prestigious gallery.
