I was commissioned to create these pieces in 2017 by Ivy Ross, a widely collected jewellery maker who is currently the head of product design at Google. Ivy contacted me with a view to create pieces which were inspired by the musical score of the new opera ‘The (R)evolution Of Steve Jobs’ composed by Mason Bates. Mason granted me exclusive access to his opera score allowing me to create these new, innovative pieces. The intricate patterns in these pieces of paper jewellery are my own graphic notation representations of the opera score. These pieces were exhibited at Patina Gallery in an exhibition entitled 'Crafted Visions: The Tension of Opposites' alongside the premier of the opera in the Santa Fe Opera House in July 2017.
